Attracting the talent of the future
2023 has seen a record number of apprentices employed by market-leading Appointed Representative network Momentum Broker Solutions. In January the business welcomed four new joins into their Broking Team, with one individual expanding his skill set into the Business Systems department.
This week Momentum are delighted to welcome yet another three to the team.
The Leicestershire-based business prides itself on the investment and development of its employees. Howard Pepper, Managing Director, believes in the importance of home-grown talent.

Previous research by Forbes.com revealed that eight in 10 Millennials have limited knowledge of career opportunities in the insurance field. Momentum’s apprenticeship programme creates awareness about the industry as a career and equips individuals with the qualifications and skills to help them succeed. Over the years they have attracted many young people into the business and want to continue to inspire a younger generation.
Eight years ago, Alisha Okuneye walked through our doors at Momentum with no prior insurance knowledge:
“I had an interview with the broking manager and their approach just seemed really relaxed, which is obviously what you want when you start a new career. I had support with my day-to-day role, which also assisted with my exams. Once I finished my apprenticeship, I went on to do my DIP (Diploma in Insurance) with the support of the Allianz Scholarship Scheme followed by my ACII (Advanced Diploma).”
Momentum have prioritised the importance of their apprenticeship programme, as this not only helps people onto the career ladder, but young talent can bring fresh ideas and new ways of thinking, helping to evolve the business. With 2024 just around the corner, Momentum are excited for what the year ahead has in store as the company continues to achieve double-digit growth.
